Cookie policy

The cookies and similar technologies Getyn uses, what each is for, and how to control them.

Last updated 19 July 2026

This is a working draft published for transparency. It has not yet completed legal review, so it should not be relied on as final contractual terms. Questions: legal@getyn.com.

This policy explains how Getyn uses cookies and similar technologies such as local storage on our own websites — getyn.dev and the Getyn Builder application.

It does not cover sites built by our customers and published on getyn.dev subdomains or custom domains. Those sites are controlled by the people who built them, and their own cookie practices are their responsibility.

1Strictly necessary

These are required for the service to work and cannot be turned off. They do not track you across sites.

  • Authentication and session cookies that keep you signed in and scoped to the right workspace
  • Security cookies used for CSRF protection and abuse prevention
  • Load balancing and routing cookies set by our hosting providers
  • A short-lived cookie that carries a prompt from the homepage into your first project after sign-up

2Preferences

These remember choices you make so the product behaves consistently between visits — for example a collapsed sidebar, an editor layout, or your cookie choices themselves. Turning these off will not break anything, but the product will forget your settings.

3Analytics

We collect aggregate usage data to understand which features are used and where people get stuck. We use first-party measurement rather than third-party advertising networks.

Sites you publish with Getyn include a lightweight first-party analytics beacon so you can see traffic to your own project. It records page views and referrers. It does not build cross-site profiles of your visitors.

4What we do not do

We do not sell cookie data, we do not run third-party advertising trackers on our marketing site or in the application, and we do not use cookies to build advertising profiles.

5Managing cookies

You can clear or block cookies in your browser settings. Blocking strictly necessary cookies will sign you out and prevent the application from working.
